Fresh off Saturday’s 29-20 win over South Carolina, the Missouri Tigers have reeled off their third straight 4-0 start to the college football season. On Saturday, Eli Drinkwitz’ team will gun for its second 5-0 start in three years when the Tigers host Massachusetts.
With a win Saturday – and BetMGM Missouri has Mizzou as a 43.5-point favorite over the Minutemen – the Tigers will be one win away from bowl eligibility. However, Missouri fans aren’t just looking for their Tigers to make it to a bowl, they’re hoping the Tigers will make a run to the College Football Playoff.
BetMissouri.com, your source for the latest Missouri sports betting news, has developed the following odds for where the Tigers will go bowling this season.

Picture it. It’s Dec. 7, and the College Football Playoff selection committee puts the Missouri Tigers in the field of 12. They don’t get a bye, but they end up snagging a Dec. 20 home game. If that’s not an ideal scenario for licensed Missouri sportsbooks, who will be able to take wagers starting Dec. 1, then I don’t know what is.
That said, Drinkwitz and his team still have a lot of work to get to that point. Mizzou can’t lose more than two games, and they still must play Alabama, Auburn, Vanderbilt (!), Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
All of those teams are ranked, and the Auburn, Vandy and OU games are on the road.
BetMissouri.com has shortened the odds for CFP First Round game from +2400 last week to +1000 this week. We’re also adding the Citrus Bowl, which is the most likely landing spot for the best SEC team not given a CFP ticket.
However, if today was Dec. 7, the Tigers most likely destination would be Memphis and the Liberty Bowl. The odds for that game remain unchanged. Also, our definition for The Field includes the four bowls that make up the CFP quarterfinals. We’re not ready to start considering those as standalone options just yet.

Analyzing Missouri's Chances in the SEC
SEC media members picked Mizzou to finish 12th this season, and the Tigers were the first SEC team in more than 40 years to come off consecutive 10-win seasons and not land make the ensuing season’s Associated Press Top 25 preseason poll.
Missouri is now No. 20, having entered the poll after Week 2.
Beating South Carolina was a very good first step for the Tigers, but after UMass, they will still have seven games left in SEC play. Missouri also won’t play on the road for another month, and at that point, Mizzou finishes with four of the last six outside of the Show-Me State.
The Alabama game is already set for an 11 am CT kickoff, but a win in that one should set Mizzou up for a primetime game later in the season. The Tigers and A&M matchup – which could be a matchup of undefeateds – could even bring ESPN’s College GameDay to Columbia for the first time in 15 years.

Missouri has appeared in postseason bowls every year from 2021 through 2024 under Drinkwitz. In 2021, the Tigers fell to Army 24–22 in the Armed Forces Bowl. In 2022, they lost a 27–17 decision to Wake Forest in the Gasparilla Bowl. 2023 brought a signature win in the New Year’s Six: Missouri upset No. 7 Ohio State 14–3 in the Cotton Bowl.
Most recently, in 2024 the Tigers beat Iowa 27–24 in the Music City Bowl.
For the current 2025-26 college football season, we project the Tigers to play in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis against a Big 12 team with the odds at +200 (33% chance).
The Tigers are not yet bowl eligible this early in the season. Missouri’s most recent bowl game was in the 2024 Music City Bowl, a 27-24 win over Iowa.
