The Missouri Tigers football team had a solid season in 2024, ending at 10-3 overall, 5-3 in the hyper-competitive SEC. What about 2025?

Bet Missouri.com checked DraftKings Sportsbook’s current win total for the 2025 college football season. We found that Missouri’s over/under was set at 7.5 wins (+115 over). We then checked to find all teams with a 7.5-win total line last season and how they performed.

Trends For 7.5 Win Total Teams In 2024

Last season, there were 26 teams that emerged from spring football at 7.5 for an over/under win total, as Missouri has now. One of them, SMU, made the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, a goal that Missouri will try to achieve for the first time in the 2025 season.

Some of the teams at 7.5 O/U in 2024 exceeded expectations. Twelve of those 26 teams hit the over and four wound up ranked in the final CFP Top 25 before the Playoff: SMU, Iowa State, UNLV and Syracuse.

But 14 teams went under 7.5 victories – including a few power conference teams that missed the mark badly, such as Oklahoma State (which finished 3-9), Maryland (4-8) and UCF (4-8). Missouri's line for the under is -135.

We’ll see if Missouri sports betting launches in time for at least part of the college football season.

Missouri Football Preview 2025

The Tigers are coming off of the seventh 10-win season in program history and the second in a row. Mizzou defeated Iowa 27-24 in the Music City Bowl to get to double digits in wins.

Coach Eli Drinkwitz’s team has not lost a regular-season nonconference game since Sept. 10, 2022, when Kansas State knocked off the Tigers 40-12.

And UM is on solid ground in recruiting on a national scale, ranked No. 20 in the FBS by 247 Sports for the 2025 signing class. But contending for an SEC title is another matter. Of the 19 teams ahead of Mizzou in those recruiting rankings, 11 are in the SEC and five are on the Tigers’ 2025 schedule.

The program had three players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, including offensive lineman Armand Membou at No. 7 overall by the New York Jets. That’s the highest that a Missouri player has been chosen since Aldon Smith, who was also selected seventh overall in 2011.
