The St. Louis Cardinals have posted an 8-12 record from July 1 through July 23. The stretch comes ahead of another weekend of action in the Missouri sports betting market as the Cardinals prepare to host Cincinnati. That stretch includes a 2-5 record since the All-Star break, which continued Thursday with a 10-6 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The loss dropped St. Louis to 52-50 on the season, while Arizona improved to 54-49.

Offensive Slump Weighs on the Roster

Team statistics compiled since July 1 show a .222 batting average alongside a 3.89 earned run average over that span. In Thursday's loss, Tyler Locklear went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs for Arizona, and Brandon Pfaadt pitched six innings for the Diamondbacks.

The Cardinals also dropped two of three games to the Los Angeles Angels earlier in the week. St. Louis lost 5-1 on July 20, then fell 3-2 on July 21 after Los Angeles scored twice in the ninth inning to erase a Cardinals lead, before winning the series finale 1-0 on July 22. The recent stretch has also been reflected in St. Louis Cardinals odds as the team enters its next series.
