It's deadline day in the Show-Me State.
The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) announced the list of sports betting operators and suppliers that have applied to operate in the state by the Sept. 12 deadline when legal wagering goes live on Dec. 1.
MGC public relations coordinator Elizabeth Hoffman told Gambling.com that because applications must be postmarked by today, others could arrive by mail next week.
The MGC posted this notice on the top of their website:
The Missouri Gaming Commission urges all applicants for Sports Wagering Supplier licenses to submit their applications. To qualify for a temporary license before the scheduled launch of sports wagering on December 1, 2025, completed applications must be received by September 12, 2025. Submitting applications on time ensures they will be thoroughly reviewed and considered promptly. Meeting this deadline allows for the issuance of temporary licenses, enabling Sports Wagering Suppliers to test and certify all necessary systems and equipment before the launch date.
According to the MGC, starting on Nov. 17, authorized mobile sports betting companies can let bettors set up online accounts and deposit funds into their accounts. If those companies have their temporary licenses, they can begin live wagering at 12 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Once the switch turns on, Missouri will become the 39th state to offer legalized sports wagering.
Bettors who are at least 21 years old will be able to bet in person at brick-and-mortar sportsbooks or online anywhere in Missouri with the use of a cellphone or computer.
