With less than a week to go, the anticipation is growing for the Missouri sports betting launch on Monday, Dec. 1.

One location is doing it in a big way.

Just seven miles outside of Kansas City, Argosy Casino & Hotel in Riverside announced earlier this month they will be opening The Sportsbook Restaurant & Bar on that day to coincide with the launch, not only for the state, but for theScore Bet MO (currently ESPN BET) mobile app debut.

The new venue at Argosy, one of Missouri's retail casinos, will offer customers:

  • 12 self-service betting kiosks, along with teller betting windows
  • 41’ x 8’ LED video wall with numerous live odds boards
  • 17 high-definition TV screens for 360-degree viewing
  • Restaurant seating includes 82 table seats, 12 lounge-style seating options, and 11 bar seats

A total of 17 sports betting licenses (nine online platforms) were approved to legally operate in the Show-Me State. Missouri joins 37 other states and Washington, D.C. to have legal sports betting.

However, Underdog pulled its temporary Missouri online license and will not be launching next week as of late Tuesday evening, Nov. 25.

Only eight online operators are now licensed for sports wagering in the state.
